Steven J. Kherkher

Steven KherkherA practicing lawyer for nearly two decades, Steven J. Kherkher is a partner at the firm Law Firm. Steve’s background includes bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Houston and a juris doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law where he graduated cum laude.

Steve successfully manages several of the firm’s pharmaceutical dockets, including Vioxx, Paxil, Quinine and now Avandia. On May 21, 2007, The New England Journal of Medicine released a study showing an increased risk of heart attacks with patients who took this diabetes drug. Steve is helping sign clients who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, were prescribed Avandia, and have suffered cardiac problems.

Throughout the course of his legal career, Steve has become licensed to practice law in several states, including Arkansas, Pennsylvania, New York and Texas. He is a member in good standing of both the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. Steve also holds memberships with the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

John T. Boundas

John BoundasOne of four partners at the firm Law Firm, John T. Boundas co-manages the firm’s Avandia docket. A number of people who suffer from type 2, or adult-onset, diabetes and who took the drug have suffered cardiac side effects. A study published in The New England Journal of Medicine confirmed this link.

John received a juris doctorate degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, was number-one in his class. John has become licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, Texas and Illinois. John also is licensed to practice in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas.

In addition to working on Avandia, John co-manages the firm’s Vioxx, Quinine and Paxil dockets. He tried a number of the firm’s nearly 7,000 fen-phen cases as well.
